Here at An Tobar , we are extremely excited to bring to you our new

U-Pick Flower Farm and our An Tobar Posies Brand Bouquets.

Why?:

There has been a great increase in demand and popularity for home-grown cut flowers in Britain and Ireland in recent years. Indeed, this growing movement is particularly well underway in the US and the Continent.

Customers who wonder about food miles for their vegetables etc are now concerned about the huge energy it requires to produce and ship flowers many thousands of miles from around the world, and so the increase in farm gate and farm shop sales.

In terms of sheer cost per stem buying a home-grown bouquet is indeed much, much less!!

Add to this the superiority in quality in terms not only of variety, scent, and longevity , but also  the more environmentally friendly methods of ‘’home grown’’ crops and it’s a win-win situation.

 

And what about growing your own in a patch at home??

Imagine the sheer fun and creativity in growing and arranging your own flowers !.

We have been busy sowing and planting a huge range of carefully chosen cut flower varieties.

Book your place on one of our 3 weekly seminars, which will run both on Fridays and Saturdays. (Friday and Saturdays workshops are the same/repeats to allow more people to attend)

 

Workshops  ‘’How to Grow Your Own Cut Flowers’’

Class 3: Friday 17th May 2024 OR Saturday 18th  May 2024

Your investment of £20 per session will include class, all materials,

Following on from this block of classes, you may book onto one of the Summer tutorials on how to pick and make your own hand tie bouquet.

We are really excited and looking forward to An Tobar U –Pick Flower Farm opening at the end of June/early July. Dates to be confirmed when our flowers are ready for cutting.  

U-Pick Flower Farm will offer the following options, so something to suit everyone we hope.

  1. 1 hour tutorials on how to arrange and package your flowers into a hand – tie bouquet.

These tutorials will take place every Friday and Saturday morning at 11am through the summer and the cost will be £20. Booking Details to follow.

  1. U-Pick your own bunch of approximately 30 stems and take it home with you in a container of water, which we will provide. The cost will be £10 per person.
  2. Ready-made U-Pick An Tobar Brand Posies, hand-tie bouquets will be available at our drive-thru flower market every Friday and Saturday with an honesty box available for payment.

The cost will be £15 per bouquet
